Warmer Weather: Backyard Dog Baths

Following up on our blog of a couple days ago, the warmer weather not only has caused our roses to bloom, but has also provided the opportunity for Tucker and Tanner to get bathed under our tree in the backyard instead of in the basement utility sink.

This past weekend worked out well to blend warmer weather with soapy water and smelly dogs. Cocker Spaniels have notoriously heavy, furry ears--kind of like thick carpet. The ears are the last part of a Cocker to naturally dry. After his bath the past weekend, Tanner developed a new "ear drying" technique modeled below. Tanner sat there for nearly twenty minutes with this towel wrapped around his ears. He just watched the neighborhood go by and relaxed. We were dying we were laughing so hard. He took the whole thing with quite a level of seriousness...

Warmer Weather: Roses in Bloom

With the warmer weather our climbing roses are in bloom and the dogs are able to have baths outside instead of in the basement utility sink. These photos will feature the roses. Stay tuned for photos of Tanner.

Roses before bloom.

Roses in bloom.

These are known as "4th of July Roses" because they look like little fireworks.

And as pretty as they are, they smell of APPLES! When the days are hot the whole front porch smells like apples...it's wonderful.

Who would of thought to create roses that smell like apples...only God!

An MMS Graduate in Action on the Field

This is fun! Here's a clip of one of our MMS graduates, Brian Pottinger, landing his Cessna 208 in Anggruk, a village located in the central highland area of Papua, Indonesia. Brian and his family serve with Associated Mission Aviation (AMA). This landing strip is very typical for mountainous flight operations.

Thanks for helping prepare families like the Pottingers for service in remote locations around the world through your prayers and gifts in support of our ministry here in Coshocton, Ohio.
