Fishing as Family Fun

It's a dark & damp day in Coshocton. Karen's upstairs with Tucker making granola and laundry detergent (and trying not to mix the two recipes). I'm in the basement with Tanner sanding and painting wooden fishing lures. Yes, fishing lures.

After four years of exploring the experience of low-budget golf on a local high-quality golf course, I've discovered fishing brings me more pleasure and is a heck of a lot more relaxing.

Making my own wooden lures (and catching fish with the lures I've made) makes it all more fun. All it takes are some hooks & hardware, a piece of wood, some sandpaper, paint, a little bit of time, and ta-da...a fishing lure!

And even better, I can go fishing with Karen and the dogs! Here are some snapshots of Karen, the dogs and fishing with my homemade lures...

Anybody want to buy a set of used golf clubs?

Looks like your lures are good for catching baitfish ... now you can go for the lunkers! :)

Baitfish, my eye! Who'd ever want to fish for clunkers anyway...
