Thanks For Your Prayers: TWR CMD

Thank You For Your Prayers
Karen and I THANK YOU for your prayerful involvement in our completion of Trans World Radio's Candidate MEDIA Days (CMD) Thursday and Friday. We felt your prayers, we needed your prayers, and we walked in the strength of your prayers.

The Scope Of TWR's Ministry Boggles Our Middle-Aged Minds
We can't say enough good things about TWR's candidate process, about the way we were treated and cared for over our time of immersion in their corporate culture, or about the evangelical outreach God enables them to provide (to a potential audience of 4 billion people) through radio and mass media. The scope of their ministry leaves us speechless, excited, and thankful that they're even considering us for possible inclusion in the Kingdom work they've faithfully performed since 1954.

What's Next? More Waiting! More Praying...
It will be at least two to three more weeks before our final assessments are summarized and the Candidate Review Committee can reconvene to determine whether or not to appointment us as TWR missionaries.

Until then, we wait, we pray, we rest in God's promises!

"I have called you back from the ends of the Earth, saying, 'You are my servant.' For I have chosen you and will not throw you away. Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:9-10 (NLT)

TWR Candidate MEDIA Days: January 22-23

Will You Pray With Us?
Karen and I invite you to pray as we participate in Trans World Radio's "Candidate MEDIA Days" this Thursday and Friday. We've received our schedule, completed our homework, and look forward to continued exploration of how we may (or may not) fit within TWR's ministry.

Once finished with these next interviews and assessments, TWR has asked us to "...return home, decompress, process the things (we've) learned and continue seeking the Lord's leading regarding service...(as the) Candidate Review Committee does the same."

It may take an additional two to three weeks before the Committee reconvenes to consider each candidate and make decisions. Shortly after decisions are made, TWR's Missionary Appointment Coordinator will contact us to let us know what steps, if any, come next.

We'd greatly appreciate it if you'd be join us and TWR in seeking the Holy Spirit's clear guidance over these next few days and weeks.

Thanks.

Wrapping Up 2014 With Photos of Dogs Opening Presents

Another Canine Christmas
Well, it shouldn't be any surprise that it was another Canine Christmas here in the land of Missionary Mutts!

Karen removes a tray of 36 home made dog biscuits from the oven.

Tanner struggles to control himself on Christmas morning.

Tanner loses control.

Tanner LOVES opening everyone's Christmas presents.

Tanner takes a break...

Tucker gets into the unwrapping act.

Tucker says there's plenty of ripping and shredding for everyone!

Dodson Family portrait with Tanner reminding Tucker that Christmas is all about Tanner.

New Year's Road Trip
We were blessed to be able to take Tucker and Tanner on a 15-hour road trip to visit Aunt Brenda, Uncle Ralph, and Rebecca over New Years. (And speaking of the College Football National Championship Game next Monday night, I say: "Go Ducks"--as a native, 38 year PAC 12 fan AND "Go Bucks" as a more recent 17 year Ohio resident).

Aunt Brenda, Tucker, and Tanner

Tanner made himself at home...

...and then celebrated New Year's Eve with his own private party in Aunt Brenda's kitchen. He's one proud boy!

What's Ahead?
As 2014 departed with streaming toilet paper and shredded trash, 2015 brings with it renewed hope, refreshed spirits, and a fresh focus on God's eternal promises. Be watching for our blog next week where we'll bring you up to speed on what He's doing in our lives, our faith, and our ministry!

Thanks for being part of our journey!
